It started as leftovers.
Every A S H plate starts life as what's left over after sugarcane is pressed. We mould that fibre under heat into something you can serve a hot meal on.
When dinner is over it doesn't sit in a landfill for four hundred years. In a compost pile it breaks down in a matter of weeks and becomes the ground something else grows in.
The cutlery is birch. The chopsticks are bamboo. The bags are kraft paper. Nothing is plastic, and nothing is pretending not to be.
Sugarcane fibre.
Plates, bowls, clamshells and lids, moulded from the pulp left after juicing. Sturdy with sauces, safe with heat, fine in the microwave.
Birch.
Forks, knives and spoons, cut from fast-growing birch and polished smooth. Nothing to splinter, nothing to melt.
Bamboo.
Chopsticks from bamboo, which grows back quicker than we can use it. Sleeved in paper, not plastic.

Will the plates go soggy?
No. Moulded cane fibre holds up to hot, wet and oily food for the length of a meal. Soups belong in our cups and soup containers, which are pressed denser.
Can I microwave them?
Yes, the cane-fibre plates, bowls and clamshells are microwave-safe for reheating. Don't put them in a conventional oven over 200°C.
How do I dispose of them?
Put them in food-waste or compost collection with the leftovers. In an industrial compost facility they break down in a few weeks; in a home heap it takes longer.
How are orders paid for?
